Shower fun!

This past weekend some dear friends of ours, Malena and Amanda threw us a shower for Kellan! It was such a great time and we were definitely SPOILED! We left feeling very blessed and loved by all our friends here in Savannah. We also left ready to have Kellan! I turned 36 weeks as of last Saturday so I officially have one week until I am considered full term!

Wednesday I have a check-up and ultrasound and I can't wait to hear how much he's weighing. As it gets closer, I'm getting more and more anxious that he's gonna take his time. Now is when my patience needs to kick in. I've definitely been having a ton (at least it feels that way) of Braxton Hicks contractions. I didn't have them with Kerrington.

Here's some pics of the shower, it was so much fun...thank you to all who came, and thank you to Amanda and Malena for the beautiful decorations, delicious food, and wonderful gifts!

My wonderful hubby! I'm so thankful he actually enjoys coming to things like these!

Beautiful diaper cake!

Two Smart Cookies....delicious!

Opening gifts, I was really excited to get the Moby wrap, I figure I'll need it to keep Kellan in that and K in the stroller :)

Sis came with us to the shower, and once this lil boy (Grant) showed up, she was enamored! She was feeding him M&Ms.

Malena spoiled us with all the monogrammed things for Kellan! There is definitely no turning back, his name is KELLAN! Ha!

The crib, ready to go (although he won't be in it at first :))

Monogrammed changing pad cover!

Kellan's room when you first walk in, look at the cute diaper box!

Date with Grandpa

This past Monday, my dad called me in the morning and asked if I would mind if he took lil K out on a lunch date. I obliged, taking advantage of some time alone to get some errands done, and Christmas shop!

He brought her back home about 1:45 and she was sacked out in the car! I think he treated her to a good time! He took her to the mall to play in the soft play area. Afterward he treated her to not one, but two carousel rides, and Chick-fil-A for lunch. They even saw K's bff Mary and her mom Ryan there!

As a souvenir, he got K a gigantic (see pics below) doggie and she's slept with it every night since! He also took the pics at the mall where you get a strip of four...so cute! After K woke from her nap that afternoon I walked in her room and pointed to her dog. Her face lit up and she said, "Pawpaw!" It was too cute.

We're so blessed that she can have these moments. I gave me an opportunity to get some much needed things done as well so I am thankful for that too!

Here's K with her doggie, after her nap:

Christmas Time Is Here!!!

At least at the Humphreys household! We decided on Friday that it would be good to decorate for Christmas now. I will be considered full term the Saturday following Thanksgiving, and with all the activities at church, we wanted to have the house decorated before things get REALLY crazy around here!

It was fun this year because Kerrington could have a bit more of a part (although we did lose a couple of ornaments in the process). We spent most of the day getting things decorated, and with Christmas music blaring, we began to get in the Christmas spirit! Here are some pictures of the house...

The tree all lit up!

Stockings...our sweet friend Melena monogrammed Kerrington's and Kellan's stockings...

Didn't they turn out cute!?

K putting the first ornament (the one she picked out herself) on the tree. Drew and I started a tradition of picking out one ornament each to add to the tree the first year we were married. This year, we went up to Hobby Lobby and let Kerrington pick out one. We narrowed it down to this pink 'ball', or a dog and surprisingly she picked the ball!)

Daddy and K adding the star to the top.

Our lil helper.

The finished tree

This nativity scene was my moms. She gave it to me two years ago to put up in our home. I absolutely love it. I think it's one of my favorite decorations. It was home made by some ladies in our church we went to growing up. I have many memories as a child helping set this up for Christmas at our house.

Skype

Technology has come far these days! Thanks to the wonderful world of Skype, we are able to 'talk' to Kerrington's Gigi, Papaw, and Aunt Mo as often as we want! We got Gina and Dana a camera for their computer for last Christmas, and since then, it's been wonderful! Kerrington lights up when she hears the beeping sound come from the computer, she knows that she gets to talk someone!
I took these pictures this past week when we were talking to Gigi. Kerrington will get right up to the camera and smile and talk! It typically only lasts for about 5 minutes and then she is ready to move on.
