Sleep

For a glorious two weeks (give or take) now this guy has been SLEEPING through the night. Praise Jesus. Yes, my son is almost 10 months old and just now sleeping through the night. I'm not one of those moms that stresses or worries about my children sleeping through the night at 12 weeks. Thank goodness, because if I were...I'd definitely have lost it by now! I also am one of those moms that can't stand to hear my baby cry for too long. I always tell my self, this is just a season... soon enough they'll be leaving my house for college...I'll take the getting up in the night, I'll cherish EVERY moment.
KB has had his sicknesses too..if he is sick, there is no way this momma is going to let him 'cry it out'.  He pretty much weaned (night feeding) on his own, it wasn't too much of a struggle. I think we'll definitely make it to 1 year strictly breast feeding. That was my goal. After that...we'll see. Kerrington was done at 1 year, she was too busy. I'll let my lil guy decide.

I thank  God for blessing me with these two. My cup runneth over.

Family Fun

Friday we had some family fun. Drew is off on Fridays so we decided to go to downtown Savannah. We ate a yummy breakfast at a restaurant called J. Christophers. It was delicious! Next we walked over to a cemetery (a little odd I know) and snapped a few pictures with our fancy smanchy camera Drew got me for my birthday. We had fun together, then got to swing on a nearby play ground. My idea of a great day!

2 1/2 years!

Our sissy is 2 1/2 years old (going on 16) TODAY! She is right on her way to turning 3... every day is more and more interesting with her around. I've been writing some funny things that she has sad or done recently on my phone...one of these days I'll post them here for memories. She's strong, independent, loving, feisty, sweet, silly, crazy, loud, helpful, and caring all rolled up in to one. This picture was taken today when I was taking a picture of Kellan in a new outfit. She insisted that I take a picture of her as well. I LOVE her big ol' smile...just makes you wanna squeeze her doesn't it!?

Happy 9 Months Kellan!

Kellan, you are 9 months old today! You're taking your morning nap right now, but before you did I snapped a couple pictures of you in the chair. You light up when the camera is around, probably because I make silly noises and try my hardest to get the biggest smile out of you yet. Here's what's going on with you this month:
  • You are barely squeezing in to any 6 month clothes, I think I need to let go of the idea that you fit in that size anymore. You're wearing mostly 9 month, some 6-12, and I bet you'd be comfortable in 12 month!
  • We moved you up to size 4 diapers! I hope you'll stay in these for a while...you sister never moved out of the 4s, maybe you'll be the same? (one can hope)
  • You LOVE to eat, and drink. In the past couple of weeks you've started eating some solid food. You love the puffs. When you go to eat them you just throw your hand up on the top of the high chair and sweep it to you...you're lucky to get more than one stuck to your hand! You've also enjoyed small pieces of bananas, teething biscuits, a few cheerios (but I got nervous), and some small pieces of bread.
  • You have mastered drinking out of a sippy cup. We've only given you water and apple juice, but you sure do enjoy it!
  • You are still breast feeding regularly. You go 3-4 hours during the day, and are still snacking at night...I'm not sure when you'll give that up.
  • You eat 3 square meals of baby food daily. You start laughing/crying when you see the food...like it's been so long since you've last eaten.
  • Last month I went on a retreat for two nights and one full day. You survived without me! We were wondering if you would because you are quite attached to your mommy right now.
  • You go to sleep really well (compared to your sis at this age). We put you in your crib and you may only cry out for 1-5mins. You take two naps during the day and are ready for bed between 7 and 7:30
  • You are pulling yourself up everywhere! This past month we had to lower your crib to the lowest setting because I came in to your room after a nap and you were standing up. You could have easily fallen out.
  • You also are crawling, with two hands and two knees (and no belly) on the ground, just a little bit. You still prefer the army crawl.
  • You gave up your pacifier. Ever since we started letting you 'cry it out' for bedtime and naps, you'd never get your pacifer back in your mouth so we decided to just go without it...makes life easier!
  • You love your sister! When you see her in the morning, you get a huge smile on your face and squeal!
  • You haven't made any sounds yet that sound like anything. You just yell for now!

We love you...
