Weekend Away

Seeing as Drew is a Worship Pastor, our weekends away are very few and far between. We're okay with that. This past weekend we were fortunate enough to have Drew all weekend so we thought it would be fun to take a weekend trip up to Atlanta to the Georgia Aquarium. It was quick, but very fun! Saturday we drove the 4 hours to Atlanta, got some lunch and then headed into the aquarium...

Daddy and sis ready to go see the 'fishies'

These tanks of fish were right when you walked in to the aquarium...she was fascinated!

I got the ebbie jeebies just looking at these guys!

There were many colorful fish in this tank, K would say 'loot at the blue one, (gasp) lellow! (gasp) orange!'

Big, ol whale shark. They have 4 total!

Gigantic sting ray

Our sweet guy took a short nap while we were watching the whale sharks being fed.

Funny looking fish!
After the aquarium, we checked in to our hotel the Kerrington's uncle Aaron who is going to grad school in Athens, met us to get some dinner. We enjoyed some CPK (California Pizza Kitchen)...it was yummy! After dinner we headed back to the hotel to settle in for the night. By the time morning came, all 4 of us were sharing the king sized bed...let's just say we didn't do well all sleeping in the same room!

Sunday morning we visited a church of a worship pastor Drew knew. After church we scouted out a very important place to eat... CHIPOTLE! Oh my goodness... it was heavenly. After our delicious meal, we started the trek home. We made it back safely, and boy were we all ready to be out of that car. It was such a great couple days to be together as a family.

Pumpkin Patch

The beautiful fall weather prompted us to go out the the Richmond Hill Pumpkin Patch today! This is our third year going...it must have officially become a tradition. Although it is quite small, it was fun to get out for just a little while this morning and soak in the fall festivities!
Me, K, and Mamaw...three generations

We are all looking...well, almost!

our kiddos sure are loved

Thank you Lord, she actually will 'smile' for pictures now!

last year, she was NOT having the face paint...quite the change from this year...she couldn't wait!

our little super star made it through the hole each time!

Family Fun

Friday we had some family fun. Drew is off on Fridays so we decided to go to downtown Savannah. We ate a yummy breakfast at a restaurant called J. Christophers. It was delicious! Next we walked over to a cemetery (a little odd I know) and snapped a few pictures with our fancy smanchy camera Drew got me for my birthday. We had fun together, then got to swing on a nearby play ground. My idea of a great day!

Trip up North!

I wanted to post some pictures of the fun time we had in Indiana and Cincy! We had a great time and it was such a blessing that we were actually able to make it on the trip due to our accident! It was a great time spent with family and friends and went by way to quickly. We made a ton of great memories, and snapped a few pictures too!

Monday, July 4th was the family picnic at Aunt Robin's house, apparently I forgot to get phone out and snap pictures!!!!

On Tuesday, we went to the Louisville Zoo. It was fun, but boy was it HOT. We were able to make it around the whole Zoo and K had a blast seeing all the animals. I am sure her favorite was the 'Roar' aka Lion. Here are a few pictures from our day at the zoo...

K and aunt Mo on the play ground

KB got a good ol view of all the animals, as you can see, he also was our tour guide for the day!

Daddy and K

K met a new friend!

On Wednesday, we headed to a Petting Zoo, they had ponies, goats, sheep, chickens, peacocks, deer, and cows. Aunt Robin, Maggie, Conner, and Mallory met us there. The kiddos had tons of fun feeding all the animals. They even got to ride the pony. Kerrington was all talk...she wanted to ride the pony, but when it came her turn she got a bit anxious! Good thing we talked her in to it because she had a great time!

(as a side note, I happened to drop my 3 week old iPhone while at the petting zoo and got a crack in the lcd screen. Drew had to take it to the nearest Apple store when we got back to the house and THANKFULLY they gave us a new one, WHEW!)

Sis riding the pony. Her name was 'Easy'.

K and Papa sittin on the pig!

Petting 1 week old goats!

The line up. Kerrington, Mallory, and Mo!

Thursday we got up and hit the courts! Drew and Mo played a game and Kerrington was introduced to tennis. Unfortunately, she played with her racket for about 5 mins and she was on to the bleachers. Maybe next year!

Future tennis player!?

We spent the rest of the afternoon swimming at Aunt Robin's house (video of our lil dare devil to come). That night we got tickets to a Louisville Bats baseball game and had our own suite! It was so nice to have our own room to walk in and out of! We had fun!

I think this was her second or third batch of cotton candy that week! I think she likes it!

The Bat came by and KB and Gigi snapped a pic!

He came back when all the big kids got back!

Drew and Eric!

Friday we drove to Cincinnati to see some friends for dinner. Here we are driving up to the view of the Queen City!

My Uncle Denny's house is where we stayed for the night...this guy is a hoot!

This is how Kerrington traveled through the airport on the way home....nice ride I'd say!
