Outside!

We have a new toy at our house! Two weekends ago my parents asked if we would like the play set that was in their back yard for our back yard. We of course jumped at the offer! It definitely needed a little TLC but my amazing dad, wonderful hubby, uncle, brothers and I were hard at work getting it back together and in good condition for our littles to play on. It didn't have a slide, but we came home last Wednesday from church and there was a brand new slide on the play set! We are so thankful to my parents for giving us this wonderful gift, I know K and KB are grateful as well. I think we have played on it every day since it was it was in working order. We are ready for spring and to be outside often!

Happy 15 Months Kellan!

Our sweet boy is 15 months old! He is growing physically and mentally every day. It seems as if all the sudden, at 15 months, he has decided to have a voice...unfortunately that voice is yelling. Lord help me. Here's the latest on our dude:

  •  Staying strong in size 4 diapers (when were baby registering for Kerrington, a lady at our old church said, 'why on earth are you registering for size 6 diapers... your kids will never make it that far!' I had no idea! Thankfully Kerrington stopped at a size 4 before being potty trained, I'm hoping our lil guy will do the same! (fingers crossed)
  • Wearing size 12 and 18 month clothing. The shirts are our problem area...finding things to fit over his big ol belly!
  • He is still nursing, nap time and nite time, sometimes morning time. I'm still okay with it and haven't gotten uncomfortable. Now, if he starts verbally asking for it, that's another story
  • He loves to eat sometimes. A bit picky here and there, but of course love the usual suspects.
  • Napping once a day and for a good 2-3 hours! Yes!
  • Saying a few words, 'dada, moma, aahh-yee (ollie), nack (snack), and tries his darndest to say sissy, but it comes out with just the 'sss' sound. It's the cutest thing ever, but mostly 'ahhhhh!'. His preferred method of communication is yelling (I can't blame him). He does sign more, please, and thank you.
  • Walking like a champ and working on running (oh my)
  • He loves to climb, everything.
  • He loves his big sister, he follows her around, and does what she does, which gets him in to trouble
  • He's a mommas boy (which I love)
  • He's our complicated child (medically) right now :). He is taking singulair at night and pulmicort through nebulizer twice a day. I'm hoping this is all something he grows out of but thankful to God that this is all we have to deal with. There are many more families dealing with much worse than us.
  • We hear more and more that he looks like his daddy. I know Drew loves to hear that. He is a mini Drew with brown eyes!
We love Kellan Bull. Can't imagine life with out him!

Before and After

We closed on our house today. WE CLOSED ON OUR HOUSE TODAY!!!!! We are more than thrilled. We hope to be living in our house by this weekend. It sure has been a process. We found out that our offer on the house was accepted the day we had Kellan's birthday party: December 3rd. So, now after 2 months (and 12 days...who's counting) we can call it our own!

Thankfully, because the process was a bit longer than expected, we were granted early occupancy and were able to move our things from the storage unit in the house. We also were able to start making home improvements.

Here's a few before and afters...

We are looking forward to making it more of our home as time goes by. We are looking forward to laughing, crying, learning, growing, teaching, and much, much more in this home of ours. God is good.

"I want to be a kitty"

"I want to be a kitty!"

No joke....she busted out with "I want to be a kitty" this morning. I thought...why not? So, she became a kitty today.

I love Instagram!

I would have absolutely no pictures of my children if it weren't for my iphone(thanks to  my hubby who got me one back in July) and Instagram (a fun photo editing app).

These are a few of the pictures I've snapped over the past month-or-so with this fun tool:

"Like a Star"

Every once in awhile I get the itch to do something to K's hair. I dreamed of fixing my own little girl's hair when I thought of having children one day. I'm so thankful that I get the opportunity to make this dream a reality.

I decided to put rollers in her already curly hair to see how it would turn out. I kept her distracted with my phone and got all the curlers in her hair. When she looked up and saw herself in the mirror, she looked at me and said, " Like a star, mommy!"

I don't know where that girl gets the things she says, but I tell ya...she keeps me in stiches all day!!!!
