Christmas Celebration

Kerrington and Kellan had their Christmas Celebration at Growing in the Son today. It was a great day! Mommy had to work, so daddy and uncle Aaron handled all the picture taking and video recording. They both performed on stage and then had a party in their classes before Christmas break!

Keaton and daddy (he's so comfortable laying with his daddy)

 Proud Mamaw and Papaw

Check out the many faces of Kerrington...

Happy girl (little did I know, her favorite person, Michelle Meece was behind me...she's awestruck).

 She's her daddy...loves the stage!

Kellan's turn

When Kellan is nervous, or tired he picks his lips...

That's his buddy (or girlfriend, if you ask him), Sutton.

I think he likes the stage too!

Buddies!

Cam...K's buddy!

Cheers!

K and her awesome teachers, Mrs. Laura, and Mrs. Marlene

Pretty girl getting her snack on!

Savannah Theater

Tonight was our annual Christmas Tradition of going to see the Christmas Show at the Savannah Theater. Our dear friends Matt and Michelle Meece own the theater and not to mention, Kerrington just adores Michelle, so we love getting the opportunity to see a great show and visit with friends.
This year, we were able to go with our parents, my brother Aaron, and uncle Denny as well as our friends Nick and Laurie and their boys Jordan and Isaac. It was a great night and fun had by all!

First of all...this mini-Santa was with us. Adorable, right?

The BEST part of the night...So, in their show, they have an act where they call audience members up to ring bells to the tune of Jingle Bells. Michelle found Kerrington and asked her if she wanted to help, and of course, she jumped! That is, until Michelle placed her on stage, then ran off to go change for the next number. You could see the panic in her body language as Michelle left. I have to say, for my lil 4 year old, she did AMAZING! (Matt said that she was the youngest they've had up there) She wasn't so sure about everyone laughing, ooo-ing, and aaaahhh-ing at her, but she made it through. Amazing memory.
*now that she's had some time to process the whole thing, she's decided that she wants to go back on stage and sing like Michelle when she gets bigger. Right after her debut, she wasn't so sure.

LOVE these three!

Gingerbread FUN!

We braved a new Christmas tradition this year...Gingerbread making! I had to throw throw the desire for a picture perfect Gingerbread house to the wind and let the kiddies have at this neat 'ol house. Okay, so, confession...I was still a little controlling...

Here we go!

Wait 20 mins to decorate after building the house...please! Ain't nobody got time for that!

 Serious concentration,

Hershey tiles for the roof (there was JUST enough to fit the roof...K managed to break a piece off of one though to sample. It was an 'accident'.

 Notice the tongue.

Brother is in on the action.

 Beauties

 Say 'CHEESE!'

 Silly gooses!

Visit to Santa

We made it to see Santa! We finally had a free night to take the kids to see Santa and tell him what they wanted for Christmas. They both told Santa they wanted bikes for Christmas (whew!).

Keaton even visited. He was thrilled. Can you tell?

Hugs for Santa

Kellan even got himself a kiss!

Fun memories!

* Funny story. I had been storing some Christmas presents under our bed...today Drew rearranged our room. Kerrington came out to me in the living room this afternoon and whispered in my ear, "I saw the pink guitar". Uh oh. We got Kerrington a mini guitar. She found it under my bed. I panicked.!
Me: "What?!"
K: (whispering in my ear again) " I saw the princess guitar under your bed"
Me: (looking at Drew with big, wide eyes) "How did you see that?"
K: "I saw a red ribbon under your bed and saw it was your dress, and I saw the pink guitar"
Me: (scrambling) "Oh, well, that's for Mallory"
K:"Oh, okay"
Me: "Do you think you'd like one of those for Christmas?"
K:"Yeah"
Me: "Well, you'll have to ask Santa for one"
Drew: "She is so me"

She's four. Lord help me.

Journey Fun!

The bigs and I got a chance to serve tonight at the Journey! I wasn't sure it was going to be possible this year, but we made it happen! We didn't stay long, but we had fun running around Bethlehem as town people!

The sweet lady dressing us said that Kerrington had Jewish hair so it was ok if we saw some of hers!

Would you like to try some sweet bread?

Just the cutest lil town kids you ever did see!

I hate RSV

This has been a horrible week. Just plain miserable. Little did I know what was a head of me the night of December 1st when Kerrington developed a fever. It was the beginning of a week (plus) of hell. We found out this past Saturday that RSV had entered our house and passed to al three of our kids.

Kerrington was sick first and missed two days of school. She had a fever on and off for two days and developed a horrible cough. I didn't take any pictures of her because I didn't think too much of it.

The next victim was this lil guy.
The horrible thing was, he got sick on his birthday. The night before he developed a fever and was coughing as well. Fever ensued on and off for two days.

And finally, my sweet, innocent lil Keaton got hit. He didn't handle it as well. We were in the doctors office by Saturday morning for fevers, cough and congestion. With one lil nose swab we discovered that RSV had hit our house like a bomb.

My lil baby has definitely gotten the worse of it. He's been just plain miserable these past few days and I'm definitely ready to have my smiley baby back. We went back to the doctor today to get checked again and it seems as if this nasty virus is just taking it's toll. We're hoping and praying that he's on the road to recovery and we'll all be able to rest easy soon.

I tell you what...now I know how my mom got her gray hairs. This being a parent thing ain't no joke. Seeing my children sick is the worst. I'd do just about anything to take it away from them.
