4 Month check up & cereal!

Yesterday was Kerrington's 4 month check up! As I write that I can't believe we're at 4 months already! Time is flying! She did great at the doctors office. She was smiling and cooing all up until she got her shots... poor baby! Dr. Bird thinks she is doing great and even gave us the O.K. to start cereal. I was wondering if this would be a possibility, because I was starting to think that just milk wasn't lasting her through the night. More on that later!
Our babe weighs 15 pounds 4 ounces, and is 24 and 3/4 inches long! She is in the 75th percentile for her height and weight! Drew and I took bets on how big she would be, he won. She is meeting all the developmental milestones for her age as well.
Now for the cereal. Once we got the okay, we were anxious to see how Kerrington would do. So after the appointment, I went out and bought some cereal. Last night, we tried it for the first time. It was hilarious to watch her face react to something new! She was unsure at first, but towards the end I think she was really trying to figure it out! She would get the spoon in her mouth and try to suck the cereal off. After the spoon came out she would end up just drooling it out of her mouth. I made it pretty thin the first time around, but I am sure after a little while she'll get the hang of it.

I thought that she was messy before we introduced cereal. I told Drew, we're in for a whole new mess now! That bib was soaked with cereal! We had fun with her though, I say, bring on the mess! I'm hoping too that it wasn't just a coincidence that she slept ALL night either! We fed her cereal before her last feed of the night, gave her a bath, then fed her. She was out about 9:30pm. We woke her (kind of, I think she might have slept through it) for her 7:00am feed and she slept after that til about 9:30am. I just got up once to give her her pacifier back around 4:00am. How wonderful would it be if she continues like that! Don't worry, I'm not holding my breath. Everyday she is making us laugh and smile, we wonder what in the world we ever did without her.
