Today our baby girl is 8 months old! Woah! I made a little collage below to show how she's changed since she was just 1 month old:
She's not only changed physically, but she sure has developed a personality! Every day she does something different that makes us laugh. We can't wait to see what else this little one has to show us! Here's what she's been up to lately:- She's in size 3 diapers. Still going strong here...I'm not sure when we'll need to make the switch, I felt like for awhile there she was moving so quickly from NB, to 1, to 2....
- Size 6-12 (I know, big range right!) clothes
- She's eating solid meals 3 times a day. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner. She's eating EVERYTHING! She loves it all! We just started giving her 'bites' of our food and she is doing really well with it. Mostly we've given her green beans, mashed potatoes, bread, easy things to mash up in her mouth. At home we've tried cubes of cheese, yogurt, grapes, bananas, cheerios and she's doing well with all!
- She's working on the pincher grab! It's so fun to see those little fingers go for food
- We're still breastfeeding. I just love it. This past week though (warning...this might be TMI for some of you) she started biting me. Can I just say OUCH...it hurts, really bad. I'm not sure how much longer I'll be able to keep it up if she keeps doing it. We'll have to wait and see.
- She has 4, count em 4 teeth now! Two on bottom and 2 on top! The top 2 are the outside ones! It's funny, when you get a glimpse of them, they look like little fangs.
- She is mobile! She crawls, or shall I say, drags herself around now! It's funny to watch but one minute she'll be in one spot on the floor and the next thing you know she's across the room! I wonder if she'll figure out how to lift that knee up and actually crawl...
- She's sleeping pretty well at night. She falls asleep in her own bed between 8 and 9 at night. Like clock work though she's up at anywhere between 3-6 to eat again and stay in our bed the rest of the morning until around 7:30, 8. We'll take what we can get!
- She's saying 'mama', usually it comes out as 'mom' though...she's too mature for that baby talk. We're waiting on the 'dada' still. Every once in awhile we hear a 'baba', but we're pretty sure it's her just making noise.
- She loves her Ollie, just follows him around (and tries to torment) every where!
Well, I think that's a long enough list. I'm sure I could go on and on.... here's a couple more of the babe...
Our happy little girl, what can I say, we're so blessed!
Showing off her "peggys" a.k.a. teeth (you'll have to ask me about THAT story sometime!)
