Daddy's home!

Drew got home Saturday night from Haiti! He was gone for 10 days and it was the longest 10 days of my life! I told him that night that it was hard the last time he was gone for more than a week, but this time was much harder! I didn't realize (til he wasn't here) how much I looked forward to him coming home in the evening. When I knew he wasn't coming home those 10 days it wasn't easy. I grew so much more respect for single mothers and military moms. I couldn't do it.

I kept K up so she could see her daddy... they had a lot of fun. She didn't go to bed til 10 that night! I think she would have stayed up longer if we'd let her. She just kept going and going, I think she knew if she stopped she'd fall asleep.

The next day, Happy 4th of July!

Today, July the 5th, K, Drew, and my family went to Hilton Head for the day! It was awesome!

Getting ready to leave. Hilton Head is about 45mins to 1 hour away. We stopped at the Tanger outlets to get some maternity shorts for mamma...things are starting to get tight! We headed to the beach afterward and had some fun!

K wasn't too thrilled with the water. It was a big change from last year, but I don't think she liked the big waves coming toward her. She had much more fun playing in the sand.

It was a great day. I love that we're so close to the beach... it's a blessing! We got home and Drew made an awesome dinner. It was a great finish to the day.
