Happy 11 Months Kellan!

Our lil 'bugger man' is 11 months old today! Woah...it hit me just the other day as I was rushing to plan his 1 year old birthday party that is just a month away. How is it even possible that he is already turning one! I can't even believe how fast this past year has gone, it is unreal. He is such a joy, and thank the Lord, I think he is turining out to be a bit calmer than his crazy sister...I sure hope it stays that way! Here's what the our guy is up to:
  • Wearing 12-18 month clothing, I realized that this past week as we were moving in to my parents...he no longer can squeeze in to 9 month clothing, I was in denial.
  • Size 4 diapers
  • He eats from sun up to sun down, and EVERYTHING under the sun. Okay, okay maybe that's exaggerating a bit, but he sure does eat a lot. Way more than Kerrington ever did, and even to this day, more than she does. He'll try anything and there is one thing so far that I know he doesnt' like, and by the looks of it I wouldn't either : Gerber Mixed Vegetable baby food.
  • We're still nursing. Ever since he was put on Pulmicort 2/day to help with wheezing, I've just found it's much easier to giving him a treatment since he's nursing. So he typically nurses 2-3 times a day, with an occasional night nurse every once in a while. No cow's milk yet, I'm not to anxious to get him started on that. We might start sometime this month.
  • He has eight teeth now. The latest one (bottom left) came in on Halloween!
  • He's crawling everywhere, pulling up on everything, and walking along furniture. He hasn't shown any interest in wandering away from the furniture standing up. I'm not sure when our boy will become a walker.
  • He's talking! His first word, which was said just a few weeks ago was music to my ears...momma! Oh yes! That's right both my babes said 'momma' first! What a wonderful sound to hear. He also says 'uh-oh!'.
  • He's taking two naps a day. Typically goes down between 9:30 and 10:00am and again around 2:00pm for about an hour to hour and a half naps. Sleeping from about 7:30 at night to 7 in the morning.
  • He's smiley and happy. Not too much gets this happy-go-lucky baby down. His sister sure does love him...often WAY too much, and he's pretty tolerable with her. I'm really looking forward to the day when he is old enough to pay her back for all the tough love she's given to him.

He's a big boy! I can't wait to see what his stats are for his 1 YEAR check up (can't even believe I just typed that). Thank the Lord we've been able to stay away from the doctor's office in between well visits. I think he's caught all the nasty bugs in Savannah to keep him healthy for awhile. He is such a blessing along with his sister. We are pretty crazy around here most of the time, but I wouldn't change it for the world. I know in a blink of an eye my babies are going to be grown. I try to remind my self to cherish every moment, even the not-so-great ones.

Kellan Bull Humphreys, your mommy and daddy love to to the ends of the Earth. We praise God for bringing you in to our lives sweet boy.
