Our new house....almost!

Drew and I are thrilled to make roots here in Savannah. We moved here in 2009. Since we've moved here we have rented due to our short sale in Ohio. We were extremely blessed to have rented from a family in the church for almost two years. Unfortunately, our time in that house had to come to an end in October 2011. We were extremely blessed again to have my parents here so we could move in with them while we searched for the perfect home for our family of four.

Well...we found the PERFECT house to make our home in December. Amazingly when we first began looking this house was under contract so we couldn't look at it. We had looked for about a month and wasn't able to find anything we loved and were moving towards building a home. About a week after we started talking with a builder this house came back on the market and we were able to look at it the next day. God is good, yes?! We made an offer the next day!

It's a great house, with just what we need. It has a great fenced in back yard for Ollie and the kids. We love it and can't wait to make it our home. We've be dreaming about improvements we can't wait to make...once we get in! One of the best parts about it...it is literally right around the corner from my parent's house. A 15 minute walk from doorstep to doorstep. What a blessing!

We are waiting to close, it's been a longer process than normal because it is a house that is listed with an owner and the government. The program is called HAP and basically it's a government short sale. We are blessed to be where we are, not needing to move in right away. We are anxious to get in the house and start making it ours. We can't wait!

Here are a few sneak peaks of the inside. I can't wait to show before and afters!
