Kerrington Leigh, the 4 year old.

Well, well. We have a 4 year old little girl on our hands. What are we going to do with ourselves? She's a handful alright... strong, opinionated, independent, passionate, loving, caring, wise, stubborn. These are just a few words to describe the little girl that skips around our house day to day.

I tell you what though, I pray that she carries all those attributes with her in to her teen age years, and beyond. This lil girl is a leader, not a follower, and I know that will do her some good as the years go by. She also is about the most tender, loving thing you'll find. She's keenly aware of those around her and their emotions and feelings. She loves, and shows concern if you're upset or hurt. She's a helper, loves to help out at school, in the kitchen, and of course, with her baby brother. She has a hard time helping with clean-up though, we're working on that one. She has a beautiful imagination, and I'll often find her singing 'on stage' (aka our fire place), or playing doctor, or I think probably her favorite, playing with her babies...dressing them, changing them, feeding them, dropping them off at the babysitters, and of course loving on them.

She's a girly girl. Loves dresses, and has a huge aversion to blue jeans. She loves pretty shoes, necklaces, bracelets, rings. She needs to have 'lipstick' on, especially when she seems mommy put hers on. She doesn't like her hair up, but loves head bands, and I can occasionally talk her in to a side braid, or half up hair-dos. She loves her fingers and toes painted, her choice of colors, of course.

She's become a good eater. Has her preferences of course... mac n' cheese, grilled cheese, yogurt, strawberries, and her favorite snack (pretzels, goldfish, marshmallows and raisins...all together). She'll try just about anything though, and the no-thank you bite has been a life-saver...if only it would work on her brother.

She is a fantastic big sister, bossy at times, but most are, right? She loves her bed time routine, which has been solid for a good twoish years now. She has come to memorize 6 or 7 verses and counting, and we hope she'll hide them in her heart forever.

We love this sweet angel that has blessed or lives for four years now. I don't know if she'll understand the depths of our love for her, ever. It grows with each passing day. Happy Birthday Kerrington Leigh, you've changed our lives forever! We love you!
