Happy 2 Months Keaton Jay!

Keaton Jay, you are 2 months old today! Again, this month has passed all to quickly. I should get use to this by now, but its just not fair. Unfortunately, we spent the past week of your 1st month very sick. You were still on the mend, in fact, when I snapped your 2 month pictures.  Here's what's going on with you lately:

  • We got the opportunity to get you weighed at the doctor a few times this past week. We went to the doctor three times...you weighed 12lbs 9oz, 12lbs 5oz, and 12lbs 1oz with each visit. It broke my heart to see you were losing weight, but you just couldn't eat. We'll have your well check next week and I'm praying you'll be back to gaining!
  • Since you've been sick, you've had your first go around with medicines. This past week you've had Albuterol, Tylenol, Bromfed, and Amoxicillin. Whew.
  • You're wearing 0-3M and 3M clothing.
  • Size 1 diapers
  • You're on your way back to eating well again. It was so sad to see you struggle to eat, you didn't even want a bottle. We're still breastfeeding strong. During the day, you're eating just about every 3 hours. At night, you're in the pea pod with mommy and daddy, and you'll sometimes stretch to 4 hours.
  • You love to be held and cuddled for sleeps. Unless you are in a good sleep, you'll wake if I set you down. I've learned to cherish these times and not worry about the house. You'll grow up to fast, the dirty laundry can wait.
  •  You've had your first babysitting opportunities! I'm working three days a week at your big brother and sister's preschool so you get to spend some time with your Mamaw and daddy while I'm away.
  • Your eyes are still blue....I'm holding on to hope that you're going to have hazel eyes like your daddy. The jury is still out!
  • You had your first Thanksgiving, you enjoyed all the Turkey and fixins...and thought they were delicious!
  • You're smiling and cooing. It's the sweetest sound!

I knew my lil baby would be better when I got a smile out of you. You weren't quite feeling up to par on your two month birthday because I couldn't get a smile out of you. Even your sissy tried. You smiled for me the next day. That was the best feeling to see!

This is so stinkin' adorable to me...notice the milk dripping from your mouth.
