Keaton Jay! You're 6 Months old (and in all honesty, I'm typing this 5 days before you turn 7 months...life is busy, but hey, at least I'm not typing it when you're turning 7 years!). Well buddy, you've been with us for a half a year already! We just love you and think you're perfect. You're easy going, as a third child has to be, and just go with our crazy flow.
Here's how you've changed in your 6 months. You're definitely a Humphreys child, but you've got your own special look. You're handsome, beautiful, cute, adorable...these are a few adjectives used to describe you (by other people).
| From here on out, I anticipate your pictures with Pooh looking like this! |
| I think you were trying to eat his ear here. |
- You're in 3-6, 6, and 6 month clothing. I still can squeeze you in to some 3 month clothing, but it's tight these days. I think I need to just put them away...one of the hardest things for me to do because it means you're growing up and getting bigger (waaaahhh)!
- You're wearing size 3 diapers. And get this...mommy and daddy have not had to buy you one box of diapers yet. We've been blessed by friends and family with diapers for the first 6 months (plus) of your life! How cool and amazing is that!
- You're still a breast feeding champ! We started some cereal on March 23rd:
And by the looks of the picture you loved it! We'll wait til your 6 month check up to get the go-ahead with other foods.
- You're delightful. You only cry when if you're put down and rather be held, or wake up alone in your crib. Theres a pattern here...you don't like to be by yourself. With the size of our house, and how many beings we have in it, chances are that won't happen often.
- You love both brother and sister, but I think you have a special bond with big brother. You always have the biggest giggles when he comes around.
- You're still just rolling to get where you need to go. No forward movement yet. I'm ok with that.
- You're working on sitting. You need help to sit up, and only last about 15 to 30 seconds if you are not being assisted.
- You are on a pretty good schedule. You are ready for bed when brother and sister are and love to be nursed to sleep. We start out in your crib, but you end up with mommy and daddy at some point. I just can't bear to let you cry it out yet....I know we'll have to eventually let you, but I can't do it to you yet...you're just to sweet and helpless.
- Those beautiful eyes of yours show no signs of turning brown. They are a blue/gray/green color. I love them. I'm obsessed with them. They make me happy because I wanted a baby with these color eyes. You're also much lighter toned then your bigs. You've got blond hair and I hope that stays for awhile
- You giggle up a storm if you're tickled in your ribs.
- You've started making your voice known too. You 'coo' and 'goo', but you also yell. You'll yell in the exersaucer when you're playing. You may think this is the normal volume at this house. If so, we're in for it.
* We had your 6 month check up! You're doing beautifully and growing like a champ! Your stats are 17lbs 8 oz and 26 1/14 inches! You're 50% for weight and 42% for length.
It's been a wonderful 6 months with you in our family! I can't wait to see how you grow in the next 6 months! Love you Keaton Jay Humphreys!
