First Day of KINDERGARTEN!

Welp, the day has come. Our first born, our baby girl, is off to Kindergarten. I know, I know, she's gone to Pre-school. This shouldn't be a big deal. But, you moms understand. Every milestone, every new thing is a big deal.

When we moved to Georgia, 5 years ago (this month), our end goal was to end up in Richmond Hill because we heard how excellent their school system was and we planned to send our girl there. It's amazing that this time has come. I was in denial for awhile, but preparing this weekend, and waking up this morning it hit. There is no turning back.

I was anxious most of the weekend, but something awesome happened when we got back home after drop off. I was at peace, I was calm, I wasn't the emotional basket case I imagined I'd be. God has had mercy on me! Our sweet girl, this precious angel, was so excited to go to school! She had a card prepared for her teacher, tucked in her backpack that proclaimed, 'She can't wait to spend the day with her'. I'll tell you what, Mrs. Couch is one blessed woman to get to spend so much time with my girl.

It's just 11 o'clock. I'm not sure what she's up to right now, but my heart is happy. I'm anxious for this afternoon when I can pick her up and hear all about her day. I hope she's ready to spill the beans!

Here's pictures from this morning: (I'll probably post another blog about her day!)
