The life of a brand new 2 year old!

Kellan Bull officially turned two at 1:55pm today. Although when you ask him he points with his pointer finger over top of his middle finger, and says 'treeh' (or something like that...not sounding like 'two'). I say this every time, but I can't believe it. Those people that tell you to cherish them while they're young because time goes by so quickly, aren't kidding. I.just.can't.believe that my baby is two years old now.

His actual birthday fell on a Tuesday, and of course, we've got to get up and moving for Sissy's school, and I had a meeting at church. So, we had to wake him up, and I pray I never forget his face as soon as his eyes opened (I tried to etch it in my memory as it happened!). We called out his name, and he opened his eyes, laying on his pillow, and through the slats in his bed, we saw our sweet lil guy, smile. Melt my heart. We proceeded with a serenade of 'Happy Birthday!'

We (mostly Drew) blew up a pack of balloons and had them in his room for when he woke up...lemme tell you that was a hit with both the Humphreys children. You can totally steal it...I found it from someone else too!

Next there was a small present waiting for him out in the living room (we'll celebrate more with a party this weekend). Sissy assisted, of course.

Another Tonka truck! A boy can't have too many of these (I'm quickly discovering).

Birthday pancakes.

The tradition of the Pooh comparison.

And a lil salute to being TWO!

While I was in my meeting, the sweet ladies that watched KB and his buddies so graciously gave them all cupcakes for a special treat! I thanked and thanked them for the potential mess they'd have to clean up! After the meeting we went to none other than, Chick-fil-a for a birthday lunch with a few friends.

Back at home and after nap we had more fun with the balloons!

Next we went for a run together and stopped at Mamaw's and Papaw's for dinner!

And of course, another cupcake!

Finally, the birthday boy in his birthday suit!

I hope it was a fun-filled day for the memory books! This (big) lil guy is super special in my heart (as most moms of boys know). He is super loving, and gentle (most of the time). He has a calm spirit, but is also a boy. He's cautious (unlike his sister), but loving, and caring. I love seeing him grow and learn, and see his personality develop (I wasn't sure if he'd be exactly like sister, or develop a mind of his own). Although, he loves to follow sis around and do whatever she's doing, which means (sadly) he's pushing a shopping cart, dressing up, or holding a baby most of the time (maybe his wife will thank me for that one day?). He doesn't get in trouble too often, and his will is no where near as strong as ahem, someone else I know. He's not as talkative either, but I've been assured that sometimes that's just the difference between boys and girls. He's not interested in potty training, but I prepared myself that there was no way I'd get off the hook as easy as I did with his sister.

He's my baby boy, and I'm proud and thankful that he's a momma's boy. I love how he smiles and laughs, it brings joy to my heart. And boy, oh boy, does he have a big 'ol bottom lip. That thing comes out the second he gets disciplined and I think he knows full well it's a ploy to get some lovin. He's our true southern boy...the only one of us actually born in the south. Oh, and maybe this goes with the last sentence..he is a lady charmer! Doesn't matter, young or old. He can reel them in sometimes with just a look! He's not shy either...his first crush (a dear friend of mine, and not to mention, married woman), has been well, shall I say, um, slightly violated by my lil guy. He loves to be a naked baby (run around after baths, nakey). He's a big ol boy...look for another post with stats from his 2 year well check up.

I love, love, love my Kellan Bull Humphreys.

Disney On ICE

(Let me start with a disclaimer...I in no way thought this night was going to be as neat as it ended up being, but it was AWESOME!)

Our kiddies were totally surprised. Yes! Check one for the mommy and daddy! K and KB just thought we were going to church to see daddy. We left a little early after second service and got in the car and told them we were going somewhere for another surprise. K's guesses were; " Chick-fil-a, Jalapenos, and Disney World (ha!)"

Our lil stinkers ready for church!

Say 'Cheese!'

Waiting outside for daddy to park the car...they still didn't know what was going on!

This my friends, is total awe and shock.

Because it's Mickey AND Minnie driving the car on ICE!

And Cars drove on the ice too! (KB loooved this part!)

Next, Ariel and her friends came out...which just happens to be one of K's favorites!

 Tinkerbell and her buddies.

Super duper excited here.

After intermission...Toy Story 3.

Yes. It was amazing! If it comes to a town near you, go see it! We had a blast!

Let the Festivities begin!

This Saturday morning was the annual Richmond Hill Christmas Parade. At least some member of our family has made it here since we arrived three years ago. Our first year, 2009, we took K. Next year, 2010, my parents took K because a lil someone was making their entrance into the world! Last year, 2011, K went with daddy, Gigi, Papaw, and Aaron while Kellan stayed back to nap and the rest of the family prepared for a 1st Birthday Party! This year, 2012, was Kellan's first year to attend, and sadly, daddy couldn't make it because of rehearsal. But we had a blast, and lemme tell you, look out next year, because my two will be bigger and stronger and more able to catch all the flying candy! (Although, I must say, it was extremely sweet that some boys next to us kept putting candy in my kids baskets because they missed out...way to spread Christmas cheer, boys)

Mamaw and Papaw brought this Auora dress back from Disney World and I think K has worn it at least every other day since, if not more. Of course, it was proper attire for a parade!

Waiting and waiting!

KB heard noises!

A fire truck!

If you can't tell..that's a man, behind the main part...driving. It was a mini semi...I think KB may want this for Christmas.

What. was. that!?

The horses!

And of course, the most important man in the parade...SANTA!

It was a fun morning and a great family tradition. Let the fun Christmas activities begin!

Farm Play date

We sure had a fun day today (despite the rain). Today I took my lil guy Kellan to a play date out on the farm! It was with our MOPs group, and we got to see and learn about some pretty neat farm animals.

KB is ready to go!

Piggies

Chickies and I think there are some Turkeys in there!

Every body check out the baby chicks.

Look at all them! Super cute!

My lil bug. Wearing his overalls, of course.

How neat is this? If that ain't a country play set, I don't know what is!

Kellan and his buddies, Becca and Tyler.

Checkin out the lil pig.

Donkey!

Birthday Celebration (Indiana style)

So, it's been a few years, but we were able to travel to Indiana for Thanksgiving this year! A few weeks prior to us leaving, I mentioned to Gigi about having a lil party for Kellan with family while we were there since they wouldn't be able to come to his birthday in Savannah. Little, it was not, but boy was it fun. Gigi to the reigns and she (along with Drew's awesome extended family) went all out! We arrived late Friday night and Kellan's party was Sunday. It was filled with F-U-N!

Checkin out all the goodies!

Sissy dressed and ready to par-tay!

The guests were arriving! This is cute lil Maddie!

Logan sayin "what's up" to Drew.

Mallory came! K loves her some Mallory!

This is a table full of awesome, wise, loving, Godly women.

He can't wait to get in to this!

The kids love it!

Present time!

Check out this face. Not mine, Kellan's. He just put his eyes on his gift from Gigi and Papaw. One word. Spoiled.

Yup. KB got his very own battery powered car (well, this is a 4-wheeler).

I think he likes it. What do you think?

It was a great way to start off a fun-filled week with Gigi, Papaw and Aunt Mo. We don't get a lot of time with them, so we cherish he time we do have!
