Doesn't April 25th seem like a good day to you to play with the water hose?
It did for my two lil turkeys!

Let's go fly a kite!

K and KB got kites in their Easter baskets this year, so naturally, we had to try them out!

It was the perfect windy day to try them out.

K got to hold hers for a little while!

We can't WAIT to take them to the beach and try them out by the water this summer!

Spring Announcement!

Well, it's Spring, and new life is growing all around us! Even in mommy's belly!

We are thrilled to announce that we are expecting baby number three in October! We found out early on that we were expecting (early February), but wanted to wait til a safer date to officially announce that we'll be welcoming our third blessing! We also wanted to let the two most important people in our lives know that their world was soon to be turned upside down (I'll try to post that video in another post)! We're excited and so are big sis and brother. Kerrington is really happy to have her own baby to help take care of and Kellan, well, let's just say he'll be in for a shocker this fall!

Egg Dye-in!

Time for some Easter egg dye-in! This is another busy time of the year for Drew, and he's not home in the evenings much, so thankfully, we were able to sneak our annual egg dyeing in tonight while we had him home!

Kerrington had a blast this year...it involved glitter, so of course she would, right?! And Kellan...well he finally is getting big enough to help out! You can tell by that cheesy smile he's have a good time!

Here we go! Waiting for the water to be ready! (side note...I've gotten Kellan to do this cheesy smile on command now...I don't know 'bout you, but I think it's probably the cutest thing in the world!)

OOOOOO! It's BLUE!

Concentrate...concentrate

Buddy-boy's turn!

Alright, time for the fun stuff! Decorating colored eggs!

With a lil help from daddy, we're makin a cool lookin egg!

What's better than a pink, glittery bunny?

Oh yes. Pure, yummy, cheeks. I want to eat him!

Daddy is gettin in to the fun too!

The finished products!

Kerrington Leigh, the 4 year old.

Well, well. We have a 4 year old little girl on our hands. What are we going to do with ourselves? She's a handful alright... strong, opinionated, independent, passionate, loving, caring, wise, stubborn. These are just a few words to describe the little girl that skips around our house day to day.

I tell you what though, I pray that she carries all those attributes with her in to her teen age years, and beyond. This lil girl is a leader, not a follower, and I know that will do her some good as the years go by. She also is about the most tender, loving thing you'll find. She's keenly aware of those around her and their emotions and feelings. She loves, and shows concern if you're upset or hurt. She's a helper, loves to help out at school, in the kitchen, and of course, with her baby brother. She has a hard time helping with clean-up though, we're working on that one. She has a beautiful imagination, and I'll often find her singing 'on stage' (aka our fire place), or playing doctor, or I think probably her favorite, playing with her babies...dressing them, changing them, feeding them, dropping them off at the babysitters, and of course loving on them.

She's a girly girl. Loves dresses, and has a huge aversion to blue jeans. She loves pretty shoes, necklaces, bracelets, rings. She needs to have 'lipstick' on, especially when she seems mommy put hers on. She doesn't like her hair up, but loves head bands, and I can occasionally talk her in to a side braid, or half up hair-dos. She loves her fingers and toes painted, her choice of colors, of course.

She's become a good eater. Has her preferences of course... mac n' cheese, grilled cheese, yogurt, strawberries, and her favorite snack (pretzels, goldfish, marshmallows and raisins...all together). She'll try just about anything though, and the no-thank you bite has been a life-saver...if only it would work on her brother.

She is a fantastic big sister, bossy at times, but most are, right? She loves her bed time routine, which has been solid for a good twoish years now. She has come to memorize 6 or 7 verses and counting, and we hope she'll hide them in her heart forever.

We love this sweet angel that has blessed or lives for four years now. I don't know if she'll understand the depths of our love for her, ever. It grows with each passing day. Happy Birthday Kerrington Leigh, you've changed our lives forever! We love you!

4th Birthday Fun for Kerrington!

Well, it's officially official! We've got ourselves a 4 year old in the Humphreys household! We tried out best to fill our sweet girls day full of fun and laughter so she'd know just how special and loved she is. After all, you only turn 4 once, and in her words, " I'm a be 4, then 5, then 30!". We are well aware at how quickly this time is passing us, so we were gonna celebrate! Here are a few pictures of her fun-filled day!

Waking up to balloons...this has become a favorite Humphreys family tradition...they LOVE it!
A HAPPY 4 year old on her birthday..whew!

playing with balloons                      Another birthday traditions, birthday pancakes....it's supposed to be a number 4

Lil birthday surprise to start her day, a princess hair-styling kit!

We brought cupcakes in for K's birthday to her class... they sang 'Happy Birthday'

After school lunch, Chick-fil-a, of course!

What sissy wanted to do on her birthday...Build-a-Bear! She made a sparkly bunny, and named her Austyn (after a friend in her class)

After our weekend guests arrived (The Golden Girls... Gigi, Dobbie, and Mae), we headed to Mamaw's and Papaw's for a birthday favorite dinner. Beef n Noodles!

A few more presents of course!

                                                                   And some birthday ice cream!

Then even more presents when we got back home!

Even brother got to open some up!

It was a fun-filled day for sure! I'll post again with some of what's going on for K's 4th year and of course from her birthday party at the park coming up this weekend! It's sure to be more fun to celebrate this special girl's life!
