Introducing...

the soon to be newest member of the Humphreys family....

our little bundle
is due

to come into

this world

around December 18th!

We're thrilled and feel completely blessed that God has given us yet another miracle. We can't wait to welcome this little one towards the end of the year. Yet again we'll be keeping the sex a surprise, so you'll all have to wait along with us to find out if we'll be giving Kerrington a new little brother or sister!

They'll be between 20 and 21 months apart, which I think is a great space. I hope they'll be close enough to play and grow up to be good friends, plus, I haven't really gotten over the sleepless nights, or diaper changing, so why not just add to it now, right?!

pony

TAIL!!! I love every chance I get to 'style' Kerrington's hair... introducing her newest hair-do! It's just long enough to comb up into a pony tail...but it doesn't last long. She's awfully cute though, isn't she???

and....although it wasn't easy, my mom and I painted K's toes the other day! She wasn't having it, so it's not the best job, but she's got the cutest lil toes around Savannah!

like a fish

We took Kerrington to her first Mommy and me swim lesson today! She loved it, took to it like a fish. It's a six week class, I hope she enjoys the rest of the classes as much as she did this one!

Waiting to jump in!
Playing with all the other babies!

Books

In the past month or so, Kerrington has shown more of an interest in books. I love that she enjoys flipping through the pages. I also enjoy that it is a part of her betime routine too. These are her favorites. She loves to flip through the pages of these books over and over again, especially the DOG book.

Done.

I think it's safe to say that we're done breastfeeding! When Kerrington was born, my goal was to nurse for 1 year. We made it approximately 12 months and two weeks. I thought that the last nurse would be memorable, I would know it was the last...but I didn't, and I'm okay with that! Since K turned 1, we were just nursing about 2 times in a 24 hour period. I believe it was last week sometime that was the last nurse, but I don't remember!

I am more than grateful we made it to a year and didn't have to use formula! I loved the bond that it gave me and my girl, and LOVED the $$ it saved on our wallets! It definitely was a blessing and I thank the Lord that I had such a successful time with it.

I would say I'm a pretty strong advocate of it. If you can do it, do it! If you have trouble, seek help! There are so many resources out there! La Leche League is a great website : http://www.llli.org/

Crawling is for babies!

For the past two weeks my baby has made a transition....

I believe she has decided to prefer walking with her two chubby (probably not for much longer) legs! The week after her birthday she started with 3-4 steps here and there. I think that once she figured out that she can be just a bit more independent, there was no stopping her! So she has gradually progressed from 3 or 4 steps, to 5, 8, and the other night she took 15 in a row. She's walking outside, inside, stepping over rails...nothing is stopping this girl.

It's funny, you wait and wait for this moment, and then it comes, and all the sudden I want my baby back! Although it is bittersweet, it is incredible to be there to see her in these moments.
