We're back together again...in Savannah!

After almost 2 weeks apart, our family was back together again this past Friday. As much of you have heard, we had quite the fiasco with our furniture and the company that "moved" it for us! The original plan was for the moving company (United States Moving Services) to come and pick up our things on Monday, August 24th and Drew was going to leave afterward and travel with his mom by car down to Savannah. Well, they didn't end up coming until that night and Drew didn't get to leave until Tuesday. As well, they didn't end up delivering our things until this past Friday. That delayed our arrival here by a week because we thought it'd be pretty hard to live in a place with nothing and a 5 month old baby.

We're here now and so are our things! We unpacked over the weekend and celebrated our 2 year anniversary on Monday at HILTON HEAD! How cool is that?! As we were driving there, we couldn't believe that we were spending our anniversary on the beach. God is pretty good!

Drew and I really love our new place. It was quite and adjustment going from a three bedroom house with a basement and garage to a 2 bedroom condo with neither a basement nor garage. We're so happy with our lives though, God has shown us SO much through this move. We know that what is most important is that we are together as a family and serving God's kingdom. Everything else is just...stuff!

Since this is my first post since the move, I'll try and post some pics from the last few weeks. Drew brought his computer home from work so I could get on the Internet and post some pics of the baby...we're working on getting our Internet set up here.

Kerrington has done phenomenal with the move! She did great on the flight down, just a small cry before falling asleep on the plane! She's just watched us while unpacking...probably being entertained with all the movement! She's had a couple of firsts already being down here:

  • Sunday was her first time in the nursery! I was going to put her in the nursery a couple of weeks ago at Mason, but then when I found out our move was so soon, I decided to just keep her out. She did well though (or at least that's what they said!), she was pretty tired when I got her, I think they were trying to get her to sleep and she was fighting it! Since then she went back tonight for Wednesday night choir rehearsal, I think she'll really learn to enjoy all those ladies loving on her.

  • She is cutting her first tooth! Last week I saw what looked like 2 little white things and I thought they might be teeth, and sure enough, there is a little tooth coming through on her bottom gum! She isn't too fussy though, thank goodness! I'm not sure she really even notices it!

  • She is eating like crazy...sweet potatoes, carrots, peas, green beans, apples, and bananas to name a few of the things she has tried. She loves them all, not a picky eater...yet!

  • She's rolling both ways now (from front to back, and back to front)

Ok..here's some pics:

With Uncle Aaron, getting a bath in the sink at Grandma and Grandpa's house.

Modeling her Michigan outfit that Uncle Aaron got her for the football season.

In her high chair awaiting FOOD!

More pics to come of our anniversary day at the beach!
