Happy 7 Months Kerrington!

Where has time gone?!? Right now as I type my little girl is taking a nap in her crib. She's 7 months today...even closer to 1. It's weird, something in my mind hit and it seems that now that I can no longer say she is 6 months, it's like I no longer have a baby but an infant! She not only is growing physically each day, but her personality is coming out more and more. There isn't one day that she doesn't make me laugh. I wish I could just freeze time sometimes, like this morning before I put her in her crib for a nap, it was just a precious moment getting to hold her as she laid her head on my shoulder. I praise God for her, and I am so thankful to be her mother.

What's the princess been up to lately:

  • She's eating 3 times a day. Cereal with fruit in the morning, a vegetable/meat and fruit for lunch, and a vegetable/fruit for dinner. She's still breastfeeding throughout the day as well. I'm not ready to be done with that...

  • She's sitting up like a pro! She can sit up for minutes at a time now. She takes some spills...but sometimes I think they're intentional...so she can roll over to what she wants

  • With that said, she's rolling...like crazy. She knows she can get wherever she needs to go with just a few rolls. She also can pivot herself...it's fun to watch

  • She's out of her infant tub for baths. We started putting her in just the tub after she was able to sit up. I've got to watch her even more diligently now, but she loves it!

  • She has just the two teeth on her bottom gums. They're taking their time growing, I've only felt them a few times ;)

  • About two weeks ago Drew and I decided to bite the bullet and start letting her cry herself to sleep. Up till now we'd rock her, but we knew eventually we'd have to stop that if we wanted some time to ourselves at night! The first night she cried for 1 hour and 15 minutes, and finally crashed (we were checking in on her in that time) by a week out, she was falling asleep after 15 mins. We're really glad we did it. Now if we could just work on the middle of the night...

  • She smile and often gives out a loud shriek at the sight of Ollie...it's cute, he's even gotten her to laugh really hard! (I tried to post it on here, but was having some difficulties...I'll try again)

  • She loves walking around the lake next to our condo. She just stares, no sounds...just watches the environment around her!

She's a ham...it's getting increasingly difficult to capture a good picture without her moving, or grabbing for the camera, or something else in her view!

I made this necklace for her at a MOPS group I attend. I can't wait to let her really wear it someday!

With Pooh. I'm going to try to make a collage with all of her pictures from the last 7 months!
