This past Wednesday was SCC's annual Patchville. It's our Church's' alternative to Halloween. We were told how HUGE this event was, but couldn't wait to see it for our own eyes. And oh boy...it was amazing! I wish I could have taken pictures of all the things going on, but there was just so much! They had a ton of blow up games and slides, carnival rides, carriage rides, boat (a.k.a. Pirate Ship) rides, crafts, Chick-fil-A, Cold Stone, and of course...CANDY! It was pretty awesome. The event was from 6-9 on Wednesday at the main campus.
Drew, Kerrington, and I were excited to go. We decided to volunteer for the first half since Kerrington is so small and wouldn't really get to enjoy all the festivities. Originally, Drew and I were supposed to be together on a blow up game, but at the last minute he was asked to do something else...
That's right...he was asked to be a Pirate for their boat rides! It was fun to watch the transformation, and even funnier to see Kerrington's reaction to this strange man that sounded like her daddy!
I wanted to dress Kerrington up in her costume (that I bought last Halloween, when I was pregnant!), but unfortunately, she would have roasted! So instead, we improvised...
She was a punk-rock princess!
Maybe next year we'll have better luck!
