Well, I decided to try K in her big girl bed overnight tonight.... I realized that it was more of a matter of ME being ready for it than her. There is just something about taking her out of that crib that makes her more grown up and I don't like it!!! I definitely was a little sad as I was laying in bed with her tonight. As I was laying there, I thought about being able to do this when she is a bit older and us getting to 'talk' before bed. That's something to look forward to, but at the same time, I just want her to stay a baby...
As we speak, I believe she has finally fallen asleep. It took about a half an hour. The good thing is, so far she hasn't tried to get down from the bed herself. I don't know how long that will last, but I'm glad she hasn't tried so far! We don't have side rails for the bed, I've just put down some pillows on the ground. We'll see how the night goes, and how my big girl does!
