- 18 lbs 9oz (64th percentile) and 27 3/4 inches (84th percentile) (doctor visit on 6/15) he's gonna be a big boy!
- Wearing size 3 diapers.
- Wearing 6M or 6-9M clothing.
- Eating solid foods two times a day, typically a fruit and cereal in the a.m. and a veggie/meat and cereal in the evening. I can't give him enough of it when he eats. He makes this noise of pure excitement when he sees the bowl coming close. I hope to start solid feeding 3 times a day soon, I think he can handle it.
- Still nursing! I hope to continue for another 6 months.
- I've gotten in to a horrible habit of just offering KB the breast at night when he wakes, and as the doctor confirmed at his appointment (I knew this was coming) he no longer needs night feedings. So, my new goal is to wean the night feedings and hopefully soon have a sleeping-through-the-night baby.
- Rolling all over the place...I'll put him down in one spot, leave the room, and when I come back he is either turned the other way, or in a completely different spot.
- Sitting, with support. Not quite on his own yet, but we're getting there.
- Still the happiest baby I know, very sweet. His lil belly laugh is like a drug to me. I can't get enough of it!
- Napping two (sometimes three) times a day.
- He's been my sick lil guy. If a virus has come through this house, he's gotten it. We've been to the doctor 4 times in the past 3 weeks (2 for sick visits for KB, 1 sick visit for K, and a well check-up for KB) I joked that we were gonna camp out there soon! On the doctor note... 3 months ago we switched doctors because we were unhappy with how things were being treated at the office we were at prior to this one. It was just a God thing. We couldn't be more comfortable, and more happy with our doctors at Coastal Pediatrics and thank God that we were able to move to their practice!
It's been a (fast) roller coaster of 6 months! I am so happy to be Kellan's mommy and to wake up and see that face every morning. God has blessed me.
