36 Weeks

 

How Far Along: 36 Weeks

Size Of Baby: He now weighs almost 6 pounds and is more than 18 1/2 inches long (about the size of a head of romaine lettuce).

Total Weight Gain/Loss: I'm nearing a 20 something weight gain. I'm not 100% sure where I started with pregnancy, but I'm better off than with my first two. I'm encouraged that it (hopefully) won't be too difficult to get these lbs off once he arrives! 

Maternity Clothes: I'm to the point where maternity clothes are starting to not fit. Aye yaye! Thank goodness for the Bella Band...it holds my pants (maternity ones even) up over my big belly.

Best Moment This Week: We were able to get one more view of this lil guy on the inside before we meet him in person! We had our 36 week ultrasound this week and he's looking good. He's small now for his gestation...I think the ultrasound tech said in the 37th percentile. She estimated him weighing about 5 pounds (and I forget the ounces). Now, she did say it could be a pound off either way.
Gender: It's a BOY! We're keepin our one and only lil princess, and Kellan gets a lil brother to pick on (I mean love on)!

Movement: He is slowin down his movement...there is a lot less room in there these days

Food Craving: Same olds. My stomach has a lot less room also, so fitting things in there has become a challenge.

What I Miss: Life without heartburn. It's killer! *Update* Pepcid is my new best friend. Thank goodness for  that little pill...goodbye heartburn!

Sleep: Tossing and turning more, and I've been waking up recently sore. I had a moment the other day when it hit me that soon, very soon, the sleepless nights will be here. I can't wait.

What I Am Looking Forward To: His clothes are washed, car seat is ready, and I'm going to get my hospital bag ready this upcoming week...we're nearing the end

Belly Button: I've got an outtie now.
Symptoms: Heart burn. This guy is going to have a mullet when he comes out I think!

Dr. S. checked me at this appointment and there was nothing goin on. Next Wednesday I'll be 37 weeks and considered full term, so he can come any time after then!
