Jacksonville Zoo

Monday we went to the closest zoo to Savannah, the Jacksonville Zoo. It's not a bad drive, it took us exactly 2 hours to get there. We had such a great time, this is Kerrington's second trip to the zoo, I took her to the Cincinnati Zoo before we moved. We walked around the entire zoo and even took a train ride!

It was so fun to see Kerrington's reactions to the animals, I think she liked the elephants the best. The zoo also had a cute play area for the kids. There was a splash area, play ground and petting zoo.

After the zoo, we headed down to the beach to eat dinner. We chose Chicago Pizza. It was delicious! We decided to head home after dinner. It was an awesome day. I took a ton of pictures, here are some of the favorites:

Napping on the way

Ready to see the animals!

Checkin out the birds!

Pointing to the elephants.

Giraffes! You could actually feed them if you paid $2.

Waiting for the carousel.

She loved it! We tried to pick a less violent looking animal, but by the time we got to it another kid took it :(

Playing in the water!

That was enough to wipe her out!

Our family.

Big boy!

Train ride!

On the way home! So, I have to write about why she is in a different outfit although I fear she'll hate me for it one day... (if you have an uneasy stomach, you may want to stop here)
We were on the way to the beach and I had given Kerrington a container of goldfish to snack on. She likes to empty them out and then eat them off her seat so that's what she did! I would look back and check on her every once in awhile. Well, I looked back at her and saw what I thought was a cookie crumb on her chin and I thought, 'how did she get cookies?". I hopped to the back seat to get a better look and what I found was the most disgusting thing I've seen yet. She had pooped, and lets just say, it was a bit runny. It went all over her seat, and she decided to play in it! I don't think she ate any. I mean, if she doesn't eat vegetables, she better not put POOP in her mouth! So, Drew had to pull over in a parking lot. We had to clean her, the seat, and get her a new outfit. Let's just say it's a good thing that we can have a sense of humor about things like that because we were cracking up the whole time. The rest of the ride home the van smelled like poop and skin so soft (Drew thought it might cover up the smell).
What a day!
