It's been so neat to watch her grow, learn, and experience new things every day. I pray that God blesses us with many, many, many more years!
Here's just some (there's too many to post) of what Kerrington is up to lately:
- She is wearing 24 month or 2T clothes
- She is still in size 4 diapers, but will 'pee pee' and 'poo poo' on the potty now...it's just a matter of really getting the idea in her head. She will use the potty whenever she feels like it to be honest! If she isn't wearing anything (no diaper or pants) she'll almost always let me know, but put some undies on and, well, let's just say we've had our share of accidents. I haven't gotten around to it, but hopefully in the next month or so we can really get this figured out!
- She is saying things in phrases now! It's almost like we can have a conversation together! I love it! She's my best bud!
- She is VERY independent and not doubtly has a mind of her very own. When she wants to do something, it's pretty difficult to convince her otherwise. We battle quite frequently on this because her mommy is pretty similar!
- She is on the got constantly...I'm not sure if this is just because she is a toddler, or she is just her daddy ;), but she doesn't stop...it's amazing the amount of energy she has. I think if I let her, she'd quit taking naps, but mommy isn't prepared for that...I look forward to that hour or hour and a half in the middle of the day.
- She's eating just about everything, or she'll at least try it (depending on her mood). Her favorite food right now is grilled cheese and tomato soup. I'll ask her what she wants to eat for lunch and she'll say, 'cheese, and soup, and bread' aka Grilled Cheese and Tomato soup!
- She has a very strong motherly instinct, that or she just picks up a lot of what mommy does and tries to imitate it! She has tried to put breast pads in her shirt like mommy, she has tried to feed her babies and Kellan many times, and she also tries to hold babies that come over to our house....the last one is a litte scary because she tries to pick them up by their necks! Watch out!
- She's taking a tumbling class once a week now (thanks Grandma and Grandpa!) and seems to love it! We did it to attempt to wear her out a bit...she is learning how to front roll, walk on the balance beam, hang from the uneven bars and jump on the tramoline! It's a blast to watch.
- She loves her baby brother. She calls him, ' baby', 'brother' or 'Tellan'. She will always tell me if he is crying...even when we are in the car and he's screaming, she'll repeatedly tell me, 'Mommy! Baby Tryin!'
Well, like I said, I could go on and on...but I don't think it would end. Here are some pictures of her on her birthday...she's the most beautiful little girl!
Happy Birthday to my Beautiful, Energetic, Creative, Strong Willed, Independent, Silly, Clever, Joyful, Amusing, Big-Hearted, and Captivating Daughter!
Love you with ALL MY HEART Kerrington Leigh!
