Sick Babies

This past week has been just crazy here at the Humphreys household. It started last Saturday when Kellan became congested and started having goopy stuff come out of his eyes. I figured it was manageable, but kept an eye on him. Monday night, he was still the same, and not wheezing. Kerrington also starting complaining that her ear hurt. I figured it was time to make an appointment to see the doctor! We made an appointment for both kiddos (the day before Kerrington's well check up). Kerrington ended up with a double ear infection, and Kellan tested negative for RSV, but Dr. Seibert put him on breathing treatments and Augmentin because of the eye drainage. That afternoon, after we got home from the doctor, my mom met me at home, we gave them their first doses of medicine then were heading to Grandmas so she could help out. Well, before I gave Kellan his dose I mentioned to my mom that it seemed like too much (2 tsp.) but I wasn't in the right state of mind and just gave it to him. Well, on the way to my moms, he threw up...3 times. I called the doctor and they let me know that he was only supposed to have 2 mls...not two 2 tsp., that's 5 times what he was supposed to have!!! Needless to say, we were worried out of our minds, but he ended up being okay. Friday morning, Kerrington woke up with a fever (again), so we called the doctor back and she had to be switched to a stronger antibiotic. *Sigh* So, now that it is Sunday night, the kids are doing better. Praise the Lord! Now were just dealing with the effects of antibiotics, if you know what I mean! Kellan is off his breathing treatments and just taking his antibiotics, and so is Kerrington. I pray this is the last we see of illness for awhile here...it took a toll! Kellan getting his first breathing treatment.
K, asleep at 10:15 on Friday morning...something she NEVER does!
