Happy 8 Months Kellan

Kellan! You're 8 Months old! Here's what you've been up to lately:

• 9-12 month clothing (I still squeeze you in to some 6 or 6-9 month)


• size 3 diapers


• you're eating 3 solid (baby food) meals a day. Typically you eat 4-6 ounces of yogurt and some fruit in the morning, 4-6 ounces of fruit and veggie for lunch, and a whopping 8 ounces for dinner


• you nurse pretty consistently every 3-4 hours, you love that mamma's milk!


• I guess then that it's not surprising that you weighed 20lbs 12ounces at the doctor today!


• you sleep best right next to your mama, I know it's not a good habit, but it is what it is. We get sleep and we're happy.


• You have your two bottom teeth and are currently working on the top 4! Your right middle tooth is through and the left middle is almost through. You've been acting really well, just a lil fussy here and there


• we had to go to the doctor today because you've had a fever the past few days. No ear infections, but your throat was red, you're absolutely miserable when you have a fever, all you want to do is to be held by your mama...I wish I could sit and hold you all day!


• you are scooting all over the house...you're actually a great floor cleaner. I get disgusted every time I pick you up after you've scooted because there is dog hair all over your shirt and it's even dirty...I could have just swept and mopped, ugh!


• you have started to get on your knees, and look like you might start 'crawling' any day now


• you make 'ooooo' and 'aaahh' sounds, but nothing that sounds like a word! I can't wait to hear what your first word is going to be, it's a wonder you get any noises in, your sister doesn't stop talking!


• you have a head full of light brown/dark blond hair, and some caaarraaazzyy cowlicks...you and your sis look dead on each other right now, she had much darker hair when she was this age though


• you're sweet as can be, when you smile, your WHOLE face smiles! I live for those smiles!

You're such a blessing. You have happy, joyful disposition. You love your sister, and put up with a lot. I know that you'll soon out grow her and I've told her a few times that once you're big enough I'm gonna let you take a few swings at her for free...(just kidding, maybe). I've so enjoyed loving you and watching you grow these past eight months! Love you my lil 'buggers'!
