Happy 21 Months Kerrington!

Happy 21 Months to lil miss Kerrington Leigh (12-21-2010). Yesterday we had a fun morning baking cookies with Grandma. Kerrington was a big help...she sampled the cookie dough plenty of times to make sure it was ok! The evening on the other hand was another story...either K was just too overwhelmed or she crashed from a sugar high, because she was a bear (see pics below)!

It's been a crazy couple of weeks adjusting to the new baby, but we're doin it! Kerrington has been a good girl (most of the time), and she loves to hold the 'baby'...we're still working on 'Kellan'.

Here's what the girl has been up to lately:

• Still in size 4 diapers...you had shown some interest in the potty around Sept./Oct., but not any more. I ask if you want to go to the potty and you say 'no'. You do however tell me every time that you 'poo poo', and you have started to pee in the bath tub.
• You're a couple different size clothing... 18 month, 24 month, and 2T. Size 5 shoe.
• You're still a pretty picky eater. You've got your staples...and occasionally you'll eat something not in your typical range of food, but you mostly stick to cheese, fruit, yogurt, chicken, mac n cheese, oh and I can't forget, your favorite 'bip'...dip :)
• You're exploding with more and more words each and every day. I try to keep track, but it's getting really hard to remember them all! Some things you say now are, sounds like, "Tol tuuu", what you're saying is 'hold you' and what you mean is that you want to be held, or you want to hold Kellan; 'shower'...we took Ollie to get his hair cut the other day and when we picked him up you said (and have been saying since) 'Ollie shower'; 'Oh boy'; 'map' which means nap.
• You've been spending more time in time out these days. You unfortunately have a nack for not listening to mommy and daddy. We occasionally have to spank you, (which we hate to do) but we only do it because we love you and are trying to raise you as God would see us do.
• You've spent a few nights over and Grandma and Grandpa's house. You love going over there because your uncle Aaron is there too. His name comes out as 'A-when'. You play hard to get with Grandpa because you talk and talk about him until he is there, then you typically run away from him!
• You love to watch cows 'mooing'! In fact, you just asked me to watch it! We pull up a video on YouTube of cows and you're mesmerized!
• You're running all over now...it's so fun to watch your little legs try to move so fast! I can't wait til we can go outside more so you can burn off some of the energy in your little body!

You're a pure joy to our entire family, you make us laugh daily and also challenge us too! I thank God for the opportunity to raise you, and I'm so glad you call me 'mommy'. Happy 21 months Kerrington Leigh! In just 3 short months you'll be TWO!!!

and anyone with a 21 month old knows you shouldn't make a 21 month old do anything they don't want to do, or this will happen!!!
