Home!

We got home Sunday evening from the hospital. It was pretty crazy once we got home with Drew's mom and dad, and my mom and brother there when we got home. The evening went pretty well until it was time to put K to bed. She had a rough time falling asleep and with my lack of sleep and exhaustion, it took a toll on me! She did eventually fall asleep and we all got some sort of sleep that night. Definitely better than if we were still in the hospital!

Monday morning I had to call the doctor to make an appointment to get Kellan checked out, and when I called they asked if we could be in the office in a hour. We scrambled to make it there, and we made it! Our first family of four outing was a success! Unfortunately, like his sister, Kellan has high bilirubin and had to be put on the lights. That afternoon we waited around for the nurse to deliver the unit to us.

It's been a crazy couple of days adjusting, and some it's been harder on some of us...naming no name uh, hem...Kerrington! But... nobody said it was easy right? I know we'll do fine, and well adjust...just looking forward to that day! I especially love, and am so thankful, that Drew is home with me. I don't know how I'd do it without him! Mom and dad have been wonderful too...it's such a blessing to have him here!

More posts coming soon (or whenever I have a free moment to get to the computer, ha!)! Here's some pics from Kellan's coming home on Sunday, and yesterday!

Welcomed by his big sister! How sweet!

I love this face! She is so unsure, and doesn't know what to think. She calls Kellan, 'baby' and has other babies...I bet she is curious why this one is getting so much attention and how he moves and makes noise!

She is already a great big sister! When the nurse was here today to check Kellan's levels, she comforted him by rubbing his head and saying 'it's ok, baby' as he was getting his blood drawn.

Our wonderful pediatrician, Dr. Seibert.

Pep unit...or tanning bed, you decide :)

Sis being silly with one of Kellan's hats we brought home from the hospital!

So glad you're adjusting!! K will do great....it might just take her a while to realize he's sticking around!! Hang in there and feel free to call anytime! Thinking of you all! Still can't believe how much he looks like her!

What a big time for ya'll! Will be praying that all the adjusting goes well. I already pray that in advance for myself, and I'm not even pregnant with number two yet!!! Lots of rest and peace to you, Mama!
